Szepsy Tokaji Furmint 2022

Few people understand their vineyards quite like István Szepsy.

I've been fortunate enough to spend time with István both in Oxford, where he hosted a tasting for our team, and at the Szepsy estate in Tokaj. Walking through the vineyards and cellars with him, it quickly became clear that every decision begins with the land. His fascination with soil composition, geology and individual vineyard sites is remarkable, and his passion is reflected in every bottle he produces.

This 'estate' wine is a wonderful introduction to the Szepsy style. Precise and beautifully textured, it combines vibrant citrus and orchard fruit with a distinctive mineral character and mouthwatering freshness. It's a wine that demonstrates just how compelling dry Furmint can be in the hands of a true master.
