I came to wine by a slightly indirect route. After completing a Master's in Biochemistry at Oxford, I spent more than five years in strategy consulting, where much of the job involved working through a lot of information, identifying what was important and turning it into something clear and practical. It taught me to ask the right questions, work out what really matters and not get distracted by everything else.

As wine became a bigger part of my life, I found myself applying that same way of thinking to it. There is an enormous amount you could know about wine, but I don't think you need all of it to make a good choice or enjoy a bottle. What matters is knowing what the wine needs to do - whether that's suit your taste, fit an occasion, reward some patience or simply be enjoyable tonight.

Over the past few years, I've had the privilege of advising private collectors, Oxford colleges and businesses on everything from choosing a bottle for dinner to building significant cellars, corporate gifting and bespoke events. I've continued to build my knowledge through the WSET Diploma, The Champagne Academy and, most importantly, by tasting widely and spending time with the winemakers, growers and producers behind the bottles.

The Tseu Collective brings those parts of my experience together: the way I think, the wines and people I've learned from, and the part I enjoy most - helping someone find the right bottle, build a collection or create an occasion worth gathering around a table for.
