Philippe Colin Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Les Chenevottes' 2023

Every family has a bottle that seems to appear whenever there's something worth celebrating. For ours, it's Philippe Colin.

Whenever my brother has a special occasion, there's a good chance this wine is on the table. Over the years, it's become part of our family celebrations, and one of the bottles I look forward to opening the most.

I've yet to visit the domaine, but Chassagne-Montrachet and neighbouring Puligny-Montrachet have long been my favourite villages for white Burgundy. Les Chenevottes 2023 captures everything I love about them: generous citrus and orchard fruit, subtle toasted hazelnut and beautifully judged oak, all balanced by a freshness that keeps every sip elegant and inviting.

Some wines mark a celebration and this one has become part of ours.
