I was first introduced to Domaine A.F. Gros through their outstanding Moulin-à-Vent. It quickly became one of my favourite recommendations, offering remarkable quality and character at a price that consistently overdelivers. Naturally, it made me curious to explore the rest of the range, and this Beaune Premier Cru more than justified the step up. Founded by the highly respected Anne-Françoise Gros and now led by the next generation of the family, the estate has a wonderfully elegant and understated style that runs through every wine they produce.

Les Boucherottes captures everything I love about red Burgundy: fragrant red cherries, wild strawberries and delicate spice, underpinned by silky tannins and a gentle savoury complexity that lingers long after each sip. Graceful rather than powerful, it's a wine that rewards careful attention while remaining effortlessly enjoyable.
