Terms and conditions

These terms are designed to make every purchase, service and experience through The Tseu Collective clear and fair. They apply to wines bought through The Cellar, services provided through The Advisory, and events and experiences offered through The Table. Bespoke services, private events and trips may be subject to additional terms set out in the relevant proposal or booking confirmation.

The Tseu Collective is operated by Min Yee Tseu as a sole trader from [business address], Oxford, England. You can contact me here

Legal age

You must be at least 18 to purchase alcohol or attend an alcohol-led event through The Tseu Collective.

By placing an order or booking, you confirm that you are 18 or over. A Challenge 25 policy applies, so anyone who appears to be under 25 may be asked for valid photographic identification.

If nobody suitable is available to receive an order, or the courier reasonably believes that the recipient is under 18, the wine cannot be left. A further delivery charge may apply if redelivery is required.

Fulfilment

Orders placed through The Tseu Collective are stored, prepared and dispatched on my behalf by The Oxford Wine Company.

Your purchase is from The Tseu Collective; The Oxford Wine Company acts as my fulfilment partner for storage, packing and delivery. Please contact me directly with any questions or problems relating to your order.

Placing an order

Once your payment has been accepted and you receive an order confirmation email, your order is confirmed.

In the unlikely event that a wine is unavailable, delivery cannot be made to the address provided, or there is an obvious error in the price or description, I will contact you promptly. Where I am unable to fulfil the order, I will provide a full refund.

I will never substitute another wine or vintage without your agreement.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include UK duty and VAT where applicable. Delivery costs and any other applicable charges will be shown before you complete your order.

Prices may change, but the price applying to your purchase will be the one shown when you place the order.

If a wine has been listed at an obviously incorrect price, I may cancel the affected order and provide a full refund, or contact you to ask whether you would like to proceed at the correct price.

Payment is taken or authorised when you place your order. Card payments are processed securely by the payment provider shown at checkout, and I do not store your full card details.

Availability

All wines are offered subject to availability. If part of an order is unavailable, I will contact you to agree whether to wait, receive the available wines separately or receive a refund for the unavailable item.

Delivery

I currently deliver within the United Kingdom only. Delivery charges and estimated timings are shown at checkout, and orders are normally dispatched within 1-2 working days. Delivery dates are estimates unless a guaranteed service has been expressly agreed.

Some remote postcodes, islands and other locations that are more difficult or costly to reach may attract an additional delivery charge. If the amount shown at checkout does not cover delivery to your address, I will contact you before dispatch. You may then agree to the additional charge or cancel the affected order for a full refund.

I do not currently offer delivery outside the United Kingdom, but please contact me with any international enquiries.

Someone aged 18 or over must be available to receive the order and may be asked for photographic identification. Wine will not be left unattended or in a nominated safe place.

Please check the delivery address and contact information carefully. Additional charges may apply where delivery has to be rearranged because the address was incorrect or nobody suitable was available.

The wine remains my responsibility until it is delivered to you or to someone you have nominated to receive it.

Returns and refunds

If you change your mind about wine purchased online, please email within 14 days of receiving your order. You then have a further 14 days to return it.

Please return unwanted bottles unopened, appropriately stored and securely packaged. You are responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted order unless it is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied. If the wine or its packaging has been handled beyond what would reasonably be permitted when examining it in a shop, any resulting reduction in value may be deducted from the refund.

Refunds will be made within 14 days of receiving the returned wine, or evidence that it has been sent. Where applicable, the refund will include the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option originally offered, but not any additional amount paid for an express or enhanced service.

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete or incorrect, please get in touch as soon as possible. Photographs of the bottles, parcel and packaging may help resolve the issue quickly. Where the wrong wine has been supplied, collection and replacement or a refund will be arranged at no additional cost to you.

Wine is a natural product, and faults occasionally happen. If a bottle appears corked, oxidised or otherwise faulty, please contact The Tseu Collective with your order details and, where possible, retain the bottle, closure and at least three-quarters of its contents so that the issue can be assessed. If a return is requested, the reasonable return cost will be covered. A replacement, credit or refund will be offered where appropriate.

Natural sediment, mature development or simply not enjoying the style of a wine does not necessarily mean that it is faulty.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

The Advisory

The scope, fee and expected timing of advisory work will be agreed in writing before the work begins.

I will provide advisory services with reasonable care and skill, based on the information available and my professional judgement. Recommendations, drinking windows and valuations are opinions rather than guarantees and do not constitute regulated financial or investment advice.

Where an advisory service is booked online, you may normally cancel within 14 days of confirmation. If you expressly ask me to begin work during that period and then cancel, you may be charged a reasonable amount for the work completed up to that point.

If the service is completed in full during the cancellation period at your express request, and you have acknowledged that completion will end your right to cancel, that right will then be lost.

The Table

Prices, inclusions and cancellation arrangements for tastings, dinners and other experiences will be shown before you book.

Please tell me about any allergies, dietary requirements or accessibility needs as early as possible. I will pass relevant information to venues and caterers, although an entirely allergen-free environment cannot always be guaranteed.

Date-specific events do not normally carry a statutory cooling-off period. The cancellation terms stated on the event page or booking confirmation will therefore apply.

If I cancel an event, you will receive a refund of the amount paid or the option to transfer to another date. I cannot normally reimburse separate travel or accommodation costs.

Private events and bespoke experiences may have additional payment and cancellation terms, which will be provided before a booking is confirmed. Trips and travel arrangements will be subject to separate booking terms.

Product descriptions and images

I take care to describe wines accurately. Product photographs are illustrative, and labels, capsules and packaging may vary slightly.

The producer, wine, vintage and bottle size supplied will match what you ordered unless I contact you and you agree to a change.

Tasting notes, drinking windows and serving suggestions reflect informed opinion. Individual bottles may develop differently, particularly with older wines.

Relevant allergen information is shown on the product page and on the bottle supplied. Please contact me before ordering if you require any further information.

Liability

I am responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by my breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

I am not responsible for loss caused by incorrect information supplied by you, unsuitable storage after delivery or circumstances outside my reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights relating to faulty, misdescribed or undelivered goods.

Please drink responsibly

Alcohol can damage your health if consumed irresponsibly. Please drink within recommended guidelines and never drink and drive.

Further information is available from Drinkaware.

Contact and complaints

If you have a question, wish to cancel an order or booking, or are unhappy with a product or service, please contact me here.

Please include your order or booking number where applicable, and I will try to resolve the matter promptly and fairly.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The version displayed when you place an order or confirm a booking is the one that applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory consumer rights applying where you live and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
